I suspect that the various language bindings are likely to see
substantial changes post 1.0 anyway, but yes, I agree that if possible
we should get as much in as we can before releasing. Assuming that
things seem functional, I wouldn't object to porting as much as
possible of the bindings subtree over to the 1.0-stabalization branch
once we get closer to release. It's not something that would horribly
destabalize things if there's a problem, and there is (obviously)
ongoing work in these areas.

I don't see a problem with 'burdening the list' with these sort of
things, as I'm sure there are others like you and me who are interested
in them.
