Why? You want to take a single checked-out Subversion working copy,
stored on some kind of media that Mac, Linux, Unix and Windows can see,
and have all four operating systems be able to use that same working copy?

Why not have 4 different working copies?

I can see (maybe) why a single dual-boot machine might find a use for a
portable WC, but then again if I'm going to reboot to change OS, I
should probably check in my work anyhow. Checking in often is good. Disk
space is cheap. Have multiple working copies.
