Yes, I saw your mail, and agree that it "should" not have been
removed. However, in the long run it's on its way out, so making
Subversion work with the future will save us the trouble later
(assuming it's not a huge cost now, which so far it doesn't seem to
be).
If there were technical disagreement about the new interface, then I
would wait for that to be resolved. But the issue here is about
temporary bureacracy -- whether the API was deprecated properly first
-- so there's no reason to think the apr_poll() interface will still
be in APR in, say, 2005.
