Ok. I look into this, but there's only one problem.

How many times have we reinvented client processes like svn info in SWIG?

Can I leverage any of that? Anyone know if those equivalents have been moved
into the SWIG bindings say in perl or java?

I don't want to reinvent the wheel if I don't have to.
