Re: Projects?

My 2 pence worth.

There are many interesting things that my co-workers and I think are
important to know about and do to our source code. We write tools on
top of the source control system to do these interesting things.

Maybe some of these interesting things correspond to a quantity that
is easy to ask the source control system for. But at no time do I
think our view of "interesting" should be a command in svn or cause
a design change.

I look upon the revision number rebate as people looking for an easy way
to work out their own "interesting" thing. I think they should write an
appropriated tool on top of svn. It would help if they could be clear
on what the their "interesting" thing is. In other words what is the
requirement?

I'd hope that the svn log -count does not get implemented as its not
important for svn's operation.

For me the issue is making it as easy as possible to create tools on top
of svn.
