We have a test script in the Subversion repository that does something
similar (see tools/dev/stress.pl, you will need Perl to run it). This
doesn't really help solve your problem, but it does show that we have
done similar testing. In the past I have committed thousands of
revisions using stress.pl, and real Subversion errors have been seen,
but I don't ever recall a checksum mismatch.
