This isn't actually what I said. If you read my mail carefully,
you'll see that I said that if you had commit privs to an area, you
could bless someone with the rights to modify that area. But you do
not have such privs.

Your course of action should be:

  1. recommend that Patrick review your patch, possibly resubmitting
      the patch if Patrick (or someone else) has valid objections to it.
  2. once the patch as been accepted, ask someone with commit privs
      to the Mandrake RPMs to commit the patch. Patrick is not such a
      person.
