If you're unsure about a change and log message you are thinking of
committing, just mail it to the list with a subject line that contains
the word PATCH and someone will review it for you. Just because you
have commit access doesn't mean you are required to commit every change
as soon as you make it, and if you sit back and watch you'll see that
other people post changes like this to the list all the time.
