I think what's happening is that people are trying to help you by
complaining. Lots of nitpicking goes on here (and it's not a real surprise
that your 4000 line commit email might attract some), but you shouldn't take
offense to it. It's much better to either do what the nitpickers say or
point out where they are wrong.
