We tried turning the list into a "closed" one, but then we would up
having to approve every commit mail (subscribing the committers didn't
seem to work). So, since we get far more commit mails than we do
spam right now, it just wasn't practical. If spam get outta hand,
though, we'll probably just have to start moderating.
