Where did you get that number from, if I may ask? And I don't think the
_Office_ Development SDK has that much to do with ASP.NET/VS.NET, which is the
difficult case. Besides, sales of SDK's doesn't translate automatically to
actual developers (I have the Visual Developer Enterprise Suite, and I rarely
fire the stupid thing up).

This smells rather of "Microsoft is a _very_ important platform that lots of
people are using, so you have to make [insert platform dependent exception here]
immediately or you will lose [huge number] of users."
