Building javahl

Hi

I try to build subclipse in the Linux Mandrake and first step seems to
get javahl from subversion to build. I took subversion code from the
repository and went into directory
    subversion/subversion/bindings/java/javahl
and generated makefiles.

I have noticed many different problems during the build process and I am
wondering is javahl maintained actively and are others able to build it
under Linux?

If you need help I suppose I could try to help and start sending patches
at least for fixing the compilation process problems I have encountered.

And btw. I noticed that there is a big javahl patch in the issue

waiting. I am wondering is that going to be worked applied. (It may need
some hand work, because at least for me it did not went in with the command

        pathc -p0 <patch3
