svn propedit svn:ignore .

I've found a small bug in svn 0.29.0 (I don't know if it was reported
and/or fixed, due to the problems with the issue tracker):

$ svn propedit svn:ignore .
Set new value for property `svn:ignore' on `'

svn should have written:

Set new value for property `svn:ignore' on `.'
