[INFO] 0.28.2 tar-ball builds, passes all tests on Mac OS X `Panther' out of the box

In the most recent beta release of Panther, immediately after
installing the OS fresh on a clean disk, the 0.28.2 tar-ball builds,
passes all tests, installs, and runs fine. No extra tools nor tweaking
of paths was needed. This was the very first piece of software I put
on the machine after the system install. One thing that makes this
possible, I think, is that the default shell after a Panther install is
bash instead of tcsh. For some reason, bash has always found the right
libtool, in spite of Apple's unfortunate re-use of that name for an
unrelated purpose.

Thought you guys might consider this good news; I do :-)
