I understand why this would help you, but am not swayed by this
general line of argument, which is one we hear all the time:

   "I'm trying to sell Subversion here in my shop, and it'd be a lot
    easier for me if it had feature X or option Y..."

If we added all these feature X's, the result would not be a piece of
software you'd want to use :-).

(Sorry, I know you didn't mean to be part of some general pattern when
you posted! But hang around on these lists long enough and you'll see
what I'm talking about.)
