:-) As the committer of this particular 'mistake', I don't really care
one way or the other. I'd imagine most people in cross-platform
environments wouldn't want .DS_Store to be versioned, and some people
in Mac-only environments would want it, and there's likely more of the
former, so having it as a default makes sense.
