Yeah, you're right, thanks for being persistent. We shouldn't abandon
this problem, we should solve it, at least to the point of publishing
a standard for Mickael to implement (even if our server doesn't
support it until later).
However, I'd like to let the thread stabilize some more before
initiating a vote. People have already made various useful and
unexpected points; there may be more of that before we're done. When
it's slowed down, I'll comb the entire thread and try to boil down the
concrete proposals, and put together a vote sheet.
And now, I'm going to just sit out and lurk for a bit... :-)
