I suppose we could consider svnserve for anonymous access.

For everything else the Apache 2.x environment is just too cool.

At least as far as I'm concerned it's one of the major attractions and
advantages over the "competition" (cvs, p4, etc). Apache auth/authz
modules, HTTPS, http logs, /server-status, known configuration system,
etc etc.

  - ask (the other perl.org infrastructure person and a frequent svn
user)
