man pages

I am wondering about the status of man pages, and how we can best keep them updated and in line with the reference section (chapter 8) in the Book.

There are man pages in the source tree for "svn", "svnadmin" and "cvs2svn":

  subversion/svnadmin/svnadmin.1
  subversion/clients/cmdline/man/svn.1
  tools/cvs2svn/cvs2svn.1

but not for "svnlook", "svnserve", "svnversion" or "svndumpfilter" for instance.

Were the existing "*.1" man pages written by hand or generated programatically? In other words, is it worth me fixing them?

Any ideas about generating the man pages (at least the Options and Subcommands sections) from the corresponding sections in the book, or vice versa? Or either of these from the programs' help messages?

Too much duplication at the moment. :-)
