Ok, tried that. Now I get...

        libaprutil.so.0 is needed by (installed) mod_perl-1.99_07-5

This is on a vanilla RH9 install with the openssl096b-0.9.6b-6.i386 package
installed (required for libssl.so.2 and libcrypto.so.2).
