I'm not seeing the corruption either, at first glance. What do you
see, Mark?

Florian: Can you file two issues, attaching your small repro
repositories and detailing the instructions to reproduce? Linking to
your mail messages is fine. One issue for the exception with
traceback, the other for the 'avendor' thing. Assign them to me :-).
