Welcome, Bob. The best way to learn about Subversion is to start
using it for real work. The 2nd best way to learn about Subversion is
to read the book (at svnbook.red-bean.com). If you run into questions
or problems, ask away. Once you're more familiar with Subversion, we
can answer your questions about its design, security, etc.
