Installation problems?

Hello all:

I'm attempting to install Subversion from RPMs on Red Hat 9, and I've run into
the following problem. As near as I can figure, the problem dependencies should
be part of OpenSSL, but I have that installed (rpm reports that openssl-0.9.7a-5
and openssl-devel-0.9.7a-5 are there).

What am I missing? (please be gentle, I'm still very new to Linux system
administration)

% rpm -ivh neon-0.23.5-1.i386.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
         libcrypto.so.2 is needed by neon-0.23.5-1
         libssl.so.2 is needed by neon-0.23.5-1

Thanks... Maury.
