Yikes. The phrase "out of date" is a basic version-control term. At
least, it's a basic concept in both CVS and SVN terminology. The SVN
book even defines it in the introductory chapters. If something is
"out of date", that means the repository contains a newer version of it.

Yeah, so maybe the word 'transaction' is just scaring people away. :-)
