patches for issue 1310

I attached two patches to issue 1310. One fixes the svn_pool_clear
instances in the source while the other fixes them in the tests.
Together these should close the issue. If someone will review them
for me then I'll commit them.

All of the regression tests for all three protocols passed for me.
