Hi, there,
I guess I should introduce myself. I think I did once, long long ago,
but a lot's changed since then anyway.
I now work for CollabNet (didn't, back then), in the Version Control
team. My particular contribution here is ClearCase, having been an
active user since before 1.0 (since before it was called "ClearCase,"
actually). I come most recently from Rational Software, where I was
involved in creating a web-hosted software collaboration environment
built around the Rational tool suite. (The product was called
"Catapulse"; it was available on a WWW near you for a whole month. Ah,
well.) Before Rational/Catapulse, I did time at Informix, SGI, and HP,
doing Software Process, IDE, Bug Tracking, and kernel networking.
Throughout all that, I've crossed the line between development (users of
process and tools) and process engineering (providers) so often as to
pretty much rub it out.
In addition to my labors for the above-named, I've contributed labor to
PGP, and enough code to GNU Emacs that I've had to get several employers
to sign blanket, non-expiring transfers of rights to FSF.
I also, so it appears, constitute a significant increase to the number
of SVN developers who work by preference on OS X....
