Yes, this is the Big Feature we plan to do post-1.0. It's what we
call "merge tracking". We agree 100% with you that svn should be
tracking the revision numbers for you, and remembering what's already
been merged or not. This will definitely happen someday.

Yes, the usability isn't so great right now. But it's also no worse
than cvs at the moment.
