Well, we did get it down by eight issues or so :-), actually.
In early May, Greg Stein, Mike Pilato, Ben, and I are planning to put
our heads together and do another issue sweep to see what in the
current pre-1.0 category truly needs to be there (with assistance from
Jack Repenning, who you may know from some posts to this list). Some
things were dumped into pre-1.0 with the explicit caveat that they
were "nice-to-haves", not "must-haves". (Hopefully most people here
will agree with our assessments in May; if not, of course, please post
regarding the specific issue and we'll take it from there.)
Also, note that this next milestone has two of the biggest bugs in it:
the DAV "item does not exist in HEAD" problem, and restartable
checkouts. Getting those out of the way will clear a lot of space,
psychologically speaking.
