hm, i'm running:
  subversion HEAD
apache 2.1.0-dev (HEAD as of 3/22/03)
  bdb 4.1.24

would it still be helpful to test this configuration?
should i run stress.pl over DAV?
how long should i expect it to take?
what should i see at the end if the program exits normally?
should i avoid putting the test repos on tmpfs?
