By the way, I don't wish to libel Berkeley DB 4.1.25 here. There's no
reason to think anything's wrong with it; whether there's anything
wrong with our usage of it is a different question (though that too
seems doubtful, since so many people are using it).

The *only* reason I'm downgrading to 4.0.14 is that the BDB upgrade
appears to be the variable that was changed right before we started
getting DB_RUNRECOVERY failures. I don't know why it would matter,
but also don't have time to find out right now -- we need to get the
repository back up first, and then debug this on a non-live copy :-).
