yes they were just eol-swap diffs as Mike said.

I already had latest code.But after checking a fresh copy (a new WC) the problem is
gone.I thought updating to HEAD should yield the same wc as a fresh checkout.IIRC that
initial WC was based on one of the earlier release tarballs and I svn updated from
then on.
