The name chosen has historical reasons: ra-svn was not available at
that time, so the package was indeed more or less client only (well,
except ra-local, ok.). But you are right. The package should now
support both ra-local and ra-svn. So I will need to change that in the
future.

Could you test the ra-svn capability of the fink package? It is at
version 0.19.1 right now. Be sure to do a 'fink selfupdate-cvs' first.
That would be great!
