That's O.K. I was working on Mike's --cleanup patch, and just stuck the
--verbose handling in along the way. I think we have reasonable defaults
now:

    * --verbose is on with "make *check", but off when you're running
      the tests manually
    * --cleanup is off by default, but can be switched on for both "make
      *check" and maual test runs.

I'm testing another change now -- Sandbox will create WC and repo paths
for the tests that need more than one pair -- but I have run the tests
several times (with and without --cleanup), to make sure I didn't foul
up the path cleanups along the way.
