I disagree. The OP wanted a way to apply a specific mime-type to all
files which fit a given pattern. By making svn:mime-type similar to
svn:ignore, you could accomplish this.

Now, I didn't say it was pretty, or even the best way to do it. It
was merely what happened to jump into my mind :)

The discussion was about how to infer the mime-type, and if that's
what we're discussing, then yes, the property should probabaly be
called something like svn:mime-extension-map as you suggest.

I thought we were discussing how to basically set a mime-type to
apply to a specific directory for a given file name pattern.

Hey, just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you :)

Yeah, I can see having this a server side thingy where only the repo
admin has control over it. That makes sense to me.
