No need. The rule is that two words get run together when they've been
used together sufficiently long that people think of them as one word.
Sometimes there's an interim period where they get hyphenated.

The rule is not that two-word phrases have to all be compound words or
not simply because they share the same first word. It's "bookshelf" and
"bookend" and "bookworm" but not "bookjacket" or "bookfair."

(All to the best of my understanding, of course.)
