No, you certainly didn't, Jack.

Folks, please remember the email amplification rule: any tiny bit of
sarcasm you put in your mail is amplified by a factor of 10 when the
reader sees it. The amplification is inherent in phosphor and LCD
screens, it cannot be turned down in software. Therefore, adjust
original content accordingly.
