The reason we're migrating from CVS to subversion is to handle directory
versions. We need cvs2svn which needs the SWIG bindings. So basically
anyone migrating from CVS (the target audience!!) will want both the
server and the SWIG bindings.

I didn't know that. Somewhere along the line I discovered that autogen.sh
told me which modules were out of date (thank god - it was driving me
insane not knowing why!). And autoconf was one of them. By that time I had
already rolled up my sleaves and was getting into it... :-)
