Hmm,

There is two different use of this makefile. Firstly, it has been driven
by book's developer and secondly by end user.

The status quo is fairly good for developer, but not for end user (imho).

As an end user, I would like just to do ./configure && make, and magic
should happen. However, at the moment there is need for manual
intervention - to install or to point a place where to look docbook-xsl (+
other things for pdf).

I think it would be really nice if we will provide SVN book out of box to
end user. It would do justice for book - it is very nice piece of
documentation.

However, If "final release" of subversion will contain ready-to-go html
book, then there is not very much need for easy-to-use make system of
book. And therefore it will be overkill.

I am going to have a busy period for next few weeks, so this will not be
so urgent (and it is not totally broken at the moment).

So lets discussion start. "I like it to be red." =)
