Well, Nuutti feels rather the same way.

Right now it seems as if fixing updates to be really continuable (with
missing directories) would solve the checkout problem without even
touching the checkout code. I'm trying to make an actual and concrete
suggestion on what to do during this weekend, and post it here.

In personal news it seems that my workload has been extended with
a week or so - so no code in a while yet.
