Understood -- but a branch in a public repository is not your personal
branch, it's everyone's branch :-). Not only do people review the
commits, but if it's ever to be merged over to trunk, it needs to
abide by the same standards.

 Points noted. I will probably switch to doxygen-style in case these
 functions someday become part of the public configuration interface.
