Is seperate an American spelling? I'd use separate.
    

Googling for it renders an awfull lot of hits, so either it is
American spelling, or many Americans can't spell. In case of the
latter: I must have seen the misspelled variant to often ;).

Anyway, no problem in changing that to 'separator'.
