While we are on the subject . . . I'd like to be able to easily create
new entries for /etc/subversion/ at build time. I include these files
in the Debian package but need to manually keep them up to date. (no
simple way to programatically extract the templates from
libsvn_subr/config_file.c).

Perhaps if the templates were not included inlined in the C source
files, but instead text copies were kept under revesion control and
logic during the build would process them properly for inclusion in
the C source. That way we would have plain text copies available.

(yes, if we like the idea, I will do it.)
