I'm perhaps speaking out of turn here, but I remember Greg Stein
mentioning that he had some concerns about those patches. This is
hearsay, of course, until Greg gets time to post a more detailed
analysis -- I just wanted to mention it, so you wouldn't think Marko's
work was being totally ignored. There is a reason (or reasons) why it
hasn't been applied to trunk; now if only I could remember what that
reason was... :-(
