Oh, sorry Justin: I misunderstood what you were proposing.

A configuration option to allow users to compile out checksum support
while a checksum bug is being fixed is fine. I just meant to -1 a
run-time option to disable checksum support -- which is not what you
were proposing.

On the other hand, it may be premature, and you can probably get
yourself going by commenting out the relevant code in

   libsvn_repos/text_delta.c:apply_window()

Maybe that's enough to hold you over until this is fixed?
