Agreed. There may be reasons for having a repository UUID, but I
don't think that's been clarified to my satisfaction, either. You
don't really need a unique identifier for lots of
replication/distributed repository schemes.

Adding it when we have no idea how it will actually be used may just
make it harder when we've actually thought about it. -- justin
