Upon a discussion on IRC, I doubt that's the case.

Unless I misunderstood something, he is already using HEAD.

As far as I can see, issue #860 is about a single file being huge -
where as this is about having several files in one directory.

The checkout problem may be #773, as mentioned - but I'm wondering is
the import problem the same issue?
