Right. Hooks aren't run, which could potentially have removed logs.

Heh. Funny you mention that. I think that was one of the features of
Daniel's big cvs2svn patch. But I think it wasn't optional or somesuch. Damn
senility is getting to me :-)

An option to toss them sounds quite fine. Maybe every N commits.
