Tom,

How many of the problems you outline do you think require SVN to
support a solution? Of that subset of problems is SVN making the
situation worse? Where are the higher level tools being designed
and developed?

Can you pick off one of two of the issues you raise and work
out the use cases for a solution that we can test against SVN?

For my part I wish SVN to provide support for our development
processes and its close to doing that for the 1.0 feature set.
We plan to port our process level tools to use SVN as the
source control engine.

I expect that 1.1 will close the gap once 1.0 is used in anger
and the feedback for the wider community of SVN users comes in.
