No, you need the darwinized version, which is what fink gets, and what
is available at http://www.apache.org/~piers/macosx/, which is why I say
use those places as sources. Possibly a clarification of WHY you should
use those sources is in order. Libtool and autoconf (and most likely
automake, and possibly texinfo) will not build properly as-is under OS X
if you just download a random bleeding-edge source version of them from
the web.
