IMHO, you -- meaning you, Jim Blandy, in particular :-) -- should
always just commit unless you're unsure about the technical
correctness of the change, or if you anticipate it will be
controversial. (You appear to know the db recovery procedure all too
well by this point, so I'm assuming you're not in doubt as to the
correctness of the new text.)

Not that it's ever *wrong* to post, of course. But if you don't get a
response, it may just mean everyone agrees, so be prepared to commit
anyway.

Unfortunately, I just committed rev 2780 to that same region of text,
so now you'll get a conflict. But please look over the new text and
massage as you think necessary...
